I have been exploring all the factors that determine the human potential since 1983. I have researched pretty much everything you could, and perhaps couldn't imagine. In that time, I have listened to a countless number of debates, arguments, conversations and discussions. I have also read and watched as many books and videos on all different subjects. And now, I am completely over it. Perhaps you are too. So, I decided I need to do something about it.
In keeping with my own saying - “It is either suffering or inspiration that creates the willingness to change” - then I have suffered enough! Now I want to share some inspiration, in a conscious effort to remedy the situation. There are so many opposing views and opinions on every topic, but the one I feel is the most important is the one shrouded in the most confusion. So, let’s start there.
That topic is: the human mind and consciousness
There are so many theories and philosophies on this topic that it would take multiple lifetimes to explore them all. Every religion and philosophy is essentially based on how to align the mind with a particular interpretation of the Godhead, the hidden forces within reality, or a dynamic within consciousness. And, frankly, they all do my head in. But before you think I am being arrogant, let me explain why I am saying this. This is super important, so hear me out.
We are now living in the 21st century, so we have been around for a rather long time as a race. But despite that fact, what’s going on in the world doesn’t make any sense to most people. Especially when every life sustaining factor on the planet is in the red. So long as that remains the case, there are no grounds whatsoever to argue against the fact that humanity is completely deluded and heading in the wrong direction. And it is doing so at speed, and with no signs of letting up.
How long do you think we can keep going the way we are? Depending on who you listen to, we may have already reached the point of no return in relation to causing our own demise. But I have some good news. We can turn this whole mess around simply by re-framing how we look at ourselves and each other.
I guess you might be wondering, “Exactly how can we do that? And if it is even possible to turn things around, then why haven’t we done it earlier?” They are very good questions and precisely what I am going to answer.
But first, what inspired this article was reading the comments section under a recent YouTube video. It wasn’t so much the comments on the video that stirred me, it was the inability of everyone involved to see the bigger picture and people’s reactions that flicked the switch inside of me. The underlying factor that causes and perpetuates most people’s problems are that they don’t know that they don’t know the Truth.
The reason why people don't know that they don't know is that the basis of all knowledge is our actual ability to think. The problem lies in the fact that no one really has any way of determining what or how they think, or any ability to self-correct. Our ability to think in different ways is what determines our capacity to process various types of information. We can then apply the knowledge we acquire in ways necessary to survive, or thrive as the case may be.
The basis of our reality is whatever is playing out in our mind, which then plays out in our life. Therefore, from my humble perspective, it seems ludicrous that so many wise and learned people engage in conversations or activities without knowing the fundamental basis to everyone's individual reality - The Nature and Origin of Thoughts. How is it possible to have an intelligent conversation on any topic without understanding the basis of the diversity within everyone’s thoughts?
I have read and studied all the great writers like Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Plato, Aristotle, Jung, Kierkegaard, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy etc. They all shared their perspectives to Life and Love and interpretations of the human heart and mind. Nearly every field of study, especially in the medical and health industries, have a mental/emotional component in their model. Whether something is shared in art or science, we face the same dilemma - that is, without having a wholistic model to explain all our different perspectives, the most core element of our individual being, how can we ever hope to turn our lives around to resemble some level of sanity?
What humanity needs is a means of determining exactly why everyone has a different point of view and opinion about everything. Then we need to be able to bring all the views and opinions together in a way that enables us to establish a common Truth. Once everyone can relate to each other’s views, we can be effective in living together in a way that reverses the current trajectories. I have created a new model for this element of consciousness that will enable us to do just this, and this is what I was inspired to share.
The material I am about to share makes up one of the last chapters in my book THE NATURE OF LIFE: How to remain at Peace while living in the modern world. As the title suggests, it is all about empowering people with the knowledge of how to navigate their way through life having awakened to our true natural state of being. Being able to consciously maintain our natural state is what allows us to remain at Peace - and this is exactly where nearly everyone is missing the point.
Everyone agrees that being at Peace reflects our natural state, and that Peace is available at all times. If we are not truly at Peace and sharing as a conscious community, then it indicates that we are failing individually and collectively. Humanity’s best efforts seem to have resulted in the most spectacular disaster. This is pretty much all we see happening in the world today.
The bottom line is, if we cannot attain and maintain our natural state, then we have no reason whatsoever to keep holding onto what we currently believe about ourselves and the world. The direction humanity is going and the impact it is having on the planet is what inspired my blog DRAW YOUR SWORD: Things are about to get real. But, for all the reasons I am about to explain, the whole proposal I shared in that article pretty much fell flat on its face. Perhaps once enough people have read this article, we can reignite the movement.
Over the last 35 years, I have met and spoken with many thousands of people all around the world. I asked them a whole array of questions about their worldviews and the challenges they face in life. After countless deep and meaningful conversations, I haven’t met a single person I couldn’t relate to. The reason why is, I have a natural way of breaking everything down and defining each component of our reality into distinct elements of life.
I created the model I am presenting here when I began consciously identifying the special powers and unique perspectives of each of the yogis, saints, gurus and masters I connected with. Together, they essentially filled in all the missing pieces to my puzzle. As it came together, I could relate everything they shared with me to everything and everyone else. This made it possible for me to identify all the unique factors determining each form’s internal and external reality.
The 18 Elements of Conscious Awareness
The table below presents The 18 Elements of Conscious Awareness, which profile the factors that make up our individual and collective experience within consciousness. Together, they create our ‘frame of reference’ within reality and the basis of every potential.
They highlight the diversity of our individual perceptions and realities, as well as the basis of all our strengths and weaknesses, abilities and disabilities. They also enable us to measure in real-time every variable that makes up or influences our overall experience of reality. Therefore, they provide a way of pinpointing all the elements that create change or instill growth - in both an individual and a collective. Essentially, they are what is missing in our capacity to be effective in almost everything we do.
The 18 Elements of Conscious Awareness gives us the ability to honour the fact that everyone's truth is relative to the Truth. They form the core foundation of our understanding of ourselves and each other. They offer us the means of identifying each and every area of growth within and between us. They equally enable us to pinpoint the exact effects of trauma, abuse and neglect on our being.
The 18 Elements of The Ego Reality
The reason why everything in the world is so messed up is: everything has been deliberately set up to destroy our connection and limit the development of our Conscious Awareness. This means that people are left with the mirror state manifesting as The 18 Elements of Ego Reality. Any lack of development and integration within and between The 18 Elements of Conscious Awareness results in The 18 Elements of The Ego Reality.
The 18 Elements of Conscious Awareness and The 18 Elements of The Ego Reality are the core factors that make us who and what we are, and why we are the way we are. Together, they enable us to map the whole spectrum of the human experience within consciousness, either in the form of The Enlightened Reality or Ego Reality. They reveal all the factors and influences behind every single expression, be it a thought, word or deed.
All positive or negative change, growth, evolution or regression reflects a development or breakdown within or between The 18 Elements of Conscious Awareness. The degree to which each element has developed reflects in your reality as either a Conscious or Dualistic Paradigm.
These Elements are the basis of how and why we are all so different. They largely determine our traits and virtues. They explain whether we can change or grow, and whether it will occur over time or in an instant. They enable us to pinpoint where a change is taking place within us or our reality.
They also form the basis of our potentials and limitations, and reveal the reasons we have the gifts or disabilities we do. We can determine why we may struggle to maintain balance in one Facet of Life and not another, from one day to the next. We can also understand why we may get easily overwhelmed by one Division of Society and not another.
We can also profile all the Elements to see why some people can easily process mathematical equations, some can learn music by ear, some get lost in a shopping centre, some have great people skills, and some have constant relationship issues. We can determine what causes the state of insanity in an individual committing violent crimes, or the disassociation of their victim while in a state of shock. It is also possible to determine why some people are traumatised by events, while others are unaffected - for example, some soldiers recover from shell shock having been through the experience of war, while others remain scarred for life, as well as why someone may end up homeless after a business failure.
The table below presents the characteristics of The 18 Elements of The Ego Reality.
The Conscious and Ego Reality Diagrams
And now for the good bit. When we relate all The Elements of Conscious Awareness and Ego Reality to the core components of The Nature of Life Model, we can see EXACTLY how they play out in our experience. All components within The Conscious Awareness diagram are in a positive spin and expanding. All components within The Ego Reality diagram are in a negative spin and contracting.
These two diagrams show how there are infinite variations possible within each reality. Knowing and understanding these two opposing states gives us an infinite range of skills. For example, they enable us to determine how accurately every question is answered. They also provide us the means of determining the extent of someone’s knowledge and/or the depth of their awareness.
Once you understand the entire model, you will be able to use the information in every practical way. We can pinpoint exactly what each guru like Eckhart Tolle, The Dalai Lama, Mooji perceives and communicates in their teachings. We can equally identify exactly what they don’t perceive and communicate. We can instantly identify the nature and intent behind every thought, word and deed. This means the end of all conflict and confusion.
The lack of awareness of these Elements effects every form of communication. Nearly everyone has had a conversation where they felt like they were banging their head against a brick wall. Likewise, most people know somebody who has topics where they just can’t go.
The reason why lies within The 18 Elements of Ego Reality. By their nature, they are the basis for all negative elements in our world. They are the cause of all regression and destruction. The momentum within them are the reason why most people find it so difficult to change - especially their points of view.
To succeed as a race, sooner or later, we need to find a way of bypassing our own limited views and opinions and consciously share a Universal Truth. To do this, there has to be the willingness to put all differences aside and work towards The Common Truth and Purpose. However, the fact that so many people cannot wipe the slate clean and start again is testimony to the fact that the dominant force is currently The 18 Elements of Ego Reality, which is keeping humanity stuck in The Dualistic Paradigm.
The combinations and permutations of concepts and beliefs within this model is truly infinite. It reveals why it is practically impossible to get two people to agree on everything. However, the worst conclusion for those involved in any disagreement to arrive at is: to agree to disagree. How many times have you heard that in your life? This simply means those involved failed to get passed all their conditioning and programming to arrive at a common Truth.
Again, the nature of the Truth is that it is all or nothing, so we are either conscious or we are not. Humanity is clearly not. These Elements reveal the exact reasons why we find it so difficult to be effective in working together on the bigger picture. To make this point crystal clear, I need to explain the exact difference between vision and perception.
I have a saying, “You can only value what you can perceive”. We can either see something for what it truly is or we can’t. This is particularly significant when all relationships are based on shared values. However, I have shown in previous blogs how it is important to realise that we can perceive the exact same things totally differently. Some visual examples are the white/gold or blue/black dress, and the grey/green or pink/white sneakers. An Auditory example is the Laurel/Yanni soundbite. They prove we simply cannot trust or rely on our senses, and we have to use our Intelligence to create a means of connecting.
The differences within our perceptions means we can have the same pools of data but have the complete opposite beliefs to someone else. This also determines our capacity to develop different levels of knowledge in all the various topics. Therefore, our ladders of inference are extremely diverse. This makes getting everyone on the same page and seeing the same big picture incredibly challenging.
But it is possible with the right model and tools to present it. If we are aware of the key differences, then we can show compassion and accommodate those with opposing views. We need to be willing to develop the means of consciously communicating our perspective to assist others to perceive where they are missing the point.
Unconscious people find ways of returning to our natural state problematic. Whereas conscious people find everything a challenge that can be celebrated and shared. The reason for the difference is that conscious people perceive their reality from Reference Points of Truth instead of Compensatory Associations.
Their Reference Points are seated in conscious connections to The Divine, Universal and Natural Laws, Dynamics and Processes. Whereas Compensatory Associations are rooted in society's dualistic Rules, Influences and Actions. Therefore, unconscious people's thoughts, word and deeds are limited to alleviating, remediating or improving an issue in a Dualistic Paradigm. Sooner or later, the dualistic nature of their reality will come into play and there will be a breakdown in the communication within their relationships, which cause conflict and confusion.
Another important distinction we can make from these two scales is the difference between intellect and Intelligence. They highlight the reason why someone who can be razor sharp intellectually but completely lack Intelligence. I have shared in other blogs how it is mainly the neurological pathways we inherit and acquire that determine which of The 81 Intelligences we do and don't have. But every Intelligence has its opposing area of intellect.
Intellect is relative to one's ability to analyise and manage the dualistic realms. It mainly increases in proportion to the genetic strengths within the compensatory pathways. Whereas, Intelligences enable us to perceive a reality beyond the delusions and illusions of society and connect with the true nature of all things. Our Intelligences develop relative to the Soul's experience being natured, nurtured and nourished.
The more Reference Points of Truth we have within and between The Levels of Being, the more we are able to develop and integrate all the different Intelligences. The Reference Points of Truth also enable us to see through the lies and deceptions of the unconscious.
On the other hand, The Compensatory Associations limit and confine people to a false reality. They become the screen upon which the unconscious project and a filter by which they perceive reality. They are the basis of all blind spots, negative attitudes and habitual patterns of behaviour.
We can relate these Elements to any individual, collective or the All. These Elements form an important role within every culture. The actual differences within cultures are based on the diversities in what is deemed important, necessary or essential to maintaining a standard of living or a state of being. The conflict and confusion within and between cultures starts when there is a difference of opinion on the relevancy of a factor and the priorities within given factors. This all depends on what Elements are at play.
To give you an idea where I am going with this material, I am in the process of creating an entirely new model for psychology - using The 18 Elements of Conscious Awareness and Ego Reality. Together, they enable us to map and scale the basis of every single state of mind and physical condition. We will be able to identify all the factors that cause and perpetuate any dis-ease, as well as pinpoint every requirement for healing and growth.
We can determine how ANY form of stress is the result of Compensatory Associations being challenged or breaking down. Whether it is one or more Association, the degree of stress is relative to how much a core belief is being brought into question.
Perhaps the most exciting part of this for me is, we can see how the many stages of transition from The Compensatory Associations to The Reference Points of Truth are the basis of the degrees of existential crisis. You may appreciate the fact that I have mapped and scaled the entire process. Therefore, it is essential to fully understand these Elements before taking plant medicines or psychedelics - because they are the very nature of what they reveal within you.
When everyone develops the same level of knowledge around this topic, we will finally be able to have some intelligent conversations. We will be able to truly honour everyone’s uniqueness, and identify the Truths within and between others. If we ever need to draw a comparison within the dualistic paradigm, then we could do that as well.
There certainly is no fun in having to constantly factor in all the elements of other people’s Ego Realities. Especially when the true definition of fun is to be able to spontaneously experience and express our unique creative genius - with room for full improvisation. It is important to understand that boredom ensues when we have to suppress our creativity.
Instead of being able to consciously live and share the fullness of our uniqueness, we fritter away much of our lives theorising and philosophising about shit that doesn’t matter. We talk endlessly about everything that should go without saying or things that are not worthy of a comment. We habitually mine for data to form opinions and construct beliefs about things that are none of our business or are inconsequential to our true potential and purpose.
So, now that you know where I am coming from, you will appreciate why I am so incredibly bored. How many people are ready, willing and able to authentically share The Conscious Paradigm? It is like how Sadhguru said he is just looking for some conscious people to live and share his life with. Until then, we will have to keep serving everyone in their efforts to get there.
